Trip to the west

So on 7-01-11  My brother in law and I headed out west to do some herping.
Once we got to the location of desire it didn't take long to find our first leopard lizard. This area has proved to hand out plenty ofleopard lizards as well as a few whiptails.
after spending a few hours in that location we headed further west till we found a little oasis in the middle of the desert  unfortunately there were horeds of horse flies so we could not spend too much time there looking for toads.
Next we headed toward topaz mountain. I've long desired to find a desert collard lizard and that area seemed promising. On the way we saw a badger and coyote cross the road.
Once we found a suitable location the hunt was on. After spending some time south of topaz Mountain and only finding side blotched lizards my brother Alex decided he wanted to go look for topaz before heading home. on the way to the bowl of the mountain i spotted some rocks i wanted to look for lizards on so he drove the rest of the way on his motor bike.
with in minutes i had spotted a nice male collared lizard perched on top of a rock. What a prize for the end of the day.

We decided to take a dirt road so to cut off a few miles of the trip home. Spotted plenty of jack rabbits in the head lights and even a small yote.
