Outing past the sand dunes

Spent two days this past week herping north west of the sand dunes. The first day I was able to find some male leopard lizards.
The second day i was able to reach a personal goal of finding a gravid female leopard lizard, as well as was able to catch the first side blotched lizards of the year. I also saw a whip snake as well as two coyote pups. It's always fun to spend time looking for wildlife.
Though the greatest part of the week was the 20th when my son Maverik Dodge York was born, what a special moment in time to have a bran new baby added to the family.
